Heads up, we've just released a "singleplayer" version of this game. The gameplay is identical, except that you can only host and play with and against bots instead of live humans via Steam.
You do NOT need to add this version to your Steam library. Just extract the zip folder and double click the .exe to launch.
Make sure you download the file named EscapeFromMuTauPhi_Beta_1_0_0_SINGLEPLAYER.zip .
Also note that some errors may be through when launching the game. This is because the game is trying and failing to connect to Steam, which shouldn't matter in this game version. You should be able to safely dismiss these when they pop up.
