This update adds much more controllable growth. You can control both Fen’s default size (1x/2x, as before, with the ability to switch it mid-game) and how quickly Fen grows.
The “realistic” setting is physically accurate. Fen starts with a mass of 8, and needs to get to a mass of 64 (so, it needs to eat 56 people!!) to double its height.
The “fast” setting is less accurate. It requires Fen to get to 16 mass, not 64. The “blazing” one is the fastest, and only requires it to get to 8.
So, they require octupling, quadrupling, and doubling mass, respectively!
I still need to add translations for the new settings. Those’ll show up soonish.
