Release of v0.8

BubblePhysics
A browser game made in HTML5

Hello Everyone

After more than a year, I finally found time to work on this project again. Actually I started continuing development a few times already but I always had some problem that kept me from publishing. This caused a very long change list which you can see here:

  • UI overhaul
  • Python Integration (Python can control the player using TCP. learn more)
  • Physics Tweaks
  • Added 3 new Sandbox Options:
    • Bullet Type (You can now shoot with boxes and pumpkins (originally meant for Halloween))
    • Bullet Size
    • Bullet Density (Affecting the mass per size of bullets)
    • Bullet Melt Time (Time bullets need to shrink until their gone)
  • Added Fullscreen toggle using F11
  • Hotkey R to directly go to Sandbox Options
  • You can now reset a Sandbox Option's value to the default by hovering over it and pressing backspace
  • Tooltips
  • Bug Fixes
  • Added an option to check if there is enough space to spawn a bullet
  • Added an option to let enemies dodge bullets
  • Partial Controller Support (Use CTRL + i to toggle between keyboard and controller input)
  • You can now bind sandbox options to keys (by pressing (c or v) or (j or k) while hovering over a slider)
  • Added a few shader experiments (go through them by pressing H)

I might create a few devlogs in the future about specific things like controller support.

For now though, enjoy the new content!
