Out of respect for human artists who are struggling during the rise of AI-generated art, I have removed the AI-generated interior art on page 12 of The Red Plague and replaced it with original art, commissioned as a holiday gift from a good friend.
While I don't have a strong opinion on the human/AI art discussion, I do respect the hard work that human artists put into developing their craft and struggling to achieve recognition and success, which is why I have made this change in my own early work. It is a paltry offering in the grand scheme of the debate, but as I lack the funds to hire an artist for my work, this is the best I can do in my limited sphere of influence.
All told, the new artwork certainly captures the chilling nature of the setting of the final chapter of The Red Plague far better than the previous art did.
