Day 114

Day 114:

I have items everywhere,

on my shelves, my floor and stairs.

I sometimes like to stop and stare,

and sometimes don't notice that they are there.

My attention and what I care about,

can swivel when their value is in doubt.

Does monetary value matter more,

than what our things mean at their core?

What they mean to us, our memories and joys,

sealed away in the hearts of our toys.

No matter how much they are worth, I could never sell,

the truly special things that know me so well.

But more important than any item I know of,

is the time I spend with the people I love.
