Hello everyone! I finally managed to release the second demo version of my project, I think the wait was worth it but I think that's up to you, dear reader and player, to judge.
Well... In this dashboard I will present the new mechanics present in the game that came with the new version, and of course, show what I want in future versions, and especially, show the differences between versions 1 and 2.
Now the bucket man has a much more fluid animation when performing his combos of blows with the mop on enemies (It is worth noting that many other animations have also been improved).
In DEMO1 version feedback, it was suggested to me a way to give instructions to players by teaching/instructing how the player should use character commands (basically a written tutorial). Listening to my critics, I implemented a way for the player to read in-game instructions during tutorial sessions. As I know there are quite a few players who are not very familiar with this "tell them what to do" mechanic and wanting everyone to feel at ease when playing my game, help messages can be turned off and on at any time.
As any game with many enemies, is always interesting to have an encyclopedia / list with the nomenclature and characteristics of the enemies encountered during gameplay. With this in mind, this new version brought a catalogue of enemies that can be consulted in the pause menu of the game.
Over two years, my skills as a level designer have evolved: as a consequence my perception of the old layout ( DEMO1 ) made me find it a bit confusing, so I made a new one, which I believe is more coherent and more fun to explore.
As well as not only my skills as level design evolved, but also as a programmer, mainly Game Maker programmer. This evolution had as a consequence the enabling of the native use of the Joystick without the need of third party programs like JoytoKey.
There are still many new features to be presented, but what fun would it be if I told you everything? So I'll let you, my dear reader, do the tests and have fun playing.
