Hey all.
It's been a little over a week since I released 0.01, and I've gotten some feedback that I thought was pretty constructive and want to address and use to make changes moving forward.
MC - I've gotten some feedback that the MC is pretty unlikeable in the state he's currently in, and while I don't 100% agree, that might just be because I'm the only one who knows explicitly where the MC is coming from, and where he's going. Since that's a failing on my part, I'm going to address some of the interactions in V0.01, as well as work on rewriting the V0.02 and beyond interactions to make the MC a bit less of a willfully helpless plot device. He'll work on himself more as the game releases more, and he'll also start to come into his own as a member of the crew and a solid component of the story.
Love Interests - Some of the character models aren't super well-received, and some of the interactions between Arti and the MC were also didn't go over as well as I hoped they would. I'll look into editing/updating the character models to be more uniformly attractive, and rework some relationship interactions from V0.01 as well as moving onwards into V0.02.
Render Quality - Probably the biggest feedback I got, outside of the MC, was in the image department. I'm a bit restricted in overall quality without sacrificing hours per render due to my graphics card, but I'm going to double to triple image density per scene. What would originally be a 15 image scene will become a 45+ image scene, and I will add more cameras so images aren't just static image + textblock.
These changes end up extending my "ideal" work/release cycle, but I want to work to publish the best quality I can.
Thank you!
