Yep. "It's that time of the year again." The Confounding Calendar is an advent calendar run by Corey Hardt and Beekie, members from thinky-puzzle-games Discord. A new puzzle game is shared each day throughout December, and Roll with Cheese (made by me!) is one of the games made for this event. I don't know when it's shard until it's actually shared on the calendar, so it was a little fun surprise for me too. Looks like it was [to do: edit in the date here].
Technically this game was published and released on November 30, but you didn't get the notification then even if you followed me on itch. I had to hide the game from my profile page and turn off the notification until it's listed on the calendar. And now, to notify my followers about it, I need to post a devlog. That's why you are reading this post right now: Notan released a new puzzle game!

Right, so this is a release announcement post of Roll with Cheese. But I won't explain the game mechanics here. It's up to you to figure out the rules like in many of my other games. Instead, let me tell you a little about something else: This is my first game with 3D models!
I've been learning Blender on and off for a while to make 3D models. Blender is a cool tool, but it takes a real effort to get rolling. Like, I watched 20 official tutorial videos for beginners (There're a lot!), and still didn't know what most of the buttons are for. When I started working on this game, I spent more than a week just to learn how to use Blender.
But I've passed that phase now. I'm starting to feel fun working with Blender. I can make my imagination real! I have POWER to create a whole new world! My next project will be full of elegantly crafted 3D models with intricate design. You'll see.

How do I do this simple thing in Blender? HOW? ðŸ˜

Thank you for reading! Enjoy this game, and all other games on the Confounding Calendar!
