Triple Point
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

This week our team prioritized adjusting features and mechanics to the feedback received from the previous 2 playtests for our post alpha build.

Some of the feedback we used to adjust were:

  • Make pots bigger so they don't look jumpable
  • Add always visible switch state instructions to UI
  • Bigger tutorial tooltips/sticky notes
  • Bunsen burner changes state gradually, goes to next state rather than always

Aside from this, we continued work leading into our beta feature complete build by

  • Continuing work on implementing and creating animation
  • Creating new assets for our plant based levels
  • Creating the final level for our lab setting
  • Working on UI changes
  • As always, bug fixing

Challenges:

  • Implementing animation gave lots of trouble with the state switching mechanic
  • Figuring out where we want to go from here, how many more levels to make, and what they will look and play like
  • Playtesting with friends/family throughout the week, figuring out what the implement now and what to save
