Choosing an engine suitable for your project is sometimes pretty hard. For us, there were 3 main candidates: Godot, Unity and Unreal. I decided to go with Unreal, for multiple reasons. It has low iteration times, is performant, and looks good. But those aren't the only reasons.
More than just a space station simulator. We are expanding into 3D, and not only that. Initiative Delta, which got it's name from the symbol for a derivative's value, has a goal of showcasing how important physics are in the video game industry. It does this through simulation.
Beyond the Sphere won't be alone. I have started a project nicknamed Heroes. It's a combined-arms combat simulator, made in Unreal Engine 5 using it's brand new technologies like World Partition, and the Quixel megascans library.
Thank you for being out there, and looking forward to the future!
