Over the last couple weeks I have poured a ton of time into the largest game I've ever worked on and this is only the beginning. With the power of shaders I've managed, after a lot of trial and error, to get a system of procedural planets working. Using these procedural planets I've made the demo for my space colonization sim.
Long term I need to do some major refactoring on the event system and technology system, over the last few days of development on the demo I thought of more efficient and scalable ways of implementing them, leaving me hesitant to make major changes to the existing code without the necessary rewrites.
That being said however, most of the basic functions are there:
