Beta version 9 released

Ancient Savo
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

The last private beta release

After the previous beta release I realized that some aspects of the inner logic could not handle all the features I have planned to implement. And it took quite some time to rework the logic. But, finally - we have a version release which has all the key features implemented, and should be able to easily handle all the additions to come.

For example, instead of a single queue of planned tasks, the tasks can now be organized to different rows. That allows there being "the main project" and "side projects". Or, assigning different family members to work on different tasks.

Also, snow depth is no more a universal value, but is now tracked tile by tile. In the spring-time the sunny southern slopes will be first to thaw, the shadowy northern slopes will be snowy for a longer time.

And, a highly experimental mac version! It is supposed to run independently of there being Java installed on the user machine or not. At the moment I don't have a mac at home, so my internal testing has been pretty limited. If you have time to test, I'd be more than happy to hear mere "it works" or "doesn't work" feedback on the mac version!

After this version the main focus of development will shift to UI, graphics and such. So we are working towards a public beta release. Feel free to post any feedback, even the smallest details or the most harsh criticism - especially if you feel that "this X and Y just absolutely need to be improved before a public release!" (and, even better if you have suggestions on exactly HOW you'd like those X and Y to be.)
