48 Hour NM Gamejam Submission 2022!
A browser game made in HTML5
  • Made the game HTML 5
  • Changed the functionality of the 'escape' key, so it quits to the main menu from in-game, and then quits flat out from the menu
  • This means the game breaks if you press 'escape' on the main menu because it's HTML 5
  • This is an easy fix, but it's 3am
  • Added screenshots to Itch page.

TO DO:

  1. Remove copyrighted assets. The game is free, so everything should fall under fair use, BUT I'd rather not take any chances.
  2. Replace copyright assets with my own, 3D assets. (in progress)
  3. Realize making 3D assets is hard, and question the wisdom of not simply drawing them or something.
  4. Dismiss those thoughts. It's my game, I'll go down as many frivolous rabbit holes as I dang well please.
  5. Switch from using Godot's Dialogic addon to Inkle's Ink.
  6. Create interjection system.
  7. Stress test interjection system.
  8. Refine interjection system.
  9. Add more story. The game is dreadfully short. (in progress)
  10. Create an options menu.
  11. Allow for adjustment of text speed.
  12. Adjust Roadrunner's voice to play on each character, as opposed to just cycling while typing.
  13. Get confused as to why this is an ordered list when there seems to be no order to tasks.
  14. Mobile compatibility features? Not sure how long the game will stay HTML 5.
  15. MAKE GOSH DANG HECKIN' BACKUPS. (important) (obviously)
  16. Reconsider investment into a game that really doesn't need any more effort put into it.
  17. Disregard previous thought. You're having fun.
  18. Music?
