This is actually a useful thing to have learned!
While the game functioned fine on Windows and Firefox, it seems something in Chrome is causing some grief rendering scenes with 2D particles. The issue is known and discussed here.
For now, I've removed the snore particles from the web build and kept them in the Windows build. Maybe one day we'll see the sweet zZZ's of our partner on the web.
