My time with you [Book 2: Chapter 17]

My Time With You
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

What's in this chapter?  Well, we're hinting even more at something big.

Oh, and this chapter has 800+ renders and 48 animations.

It's smaller render-wise than the two previous chapters, but around three times the animation amount, and most of these have never been seen before. As you can see with the number of animations it has, this chapter is quite heavy with fanservice but the fanservice itself moves the story along and develops the character(s) as well. This chapter makes book 2 already bigger than book 1. Chapters 12-17 > Chapters 1-11. As the game goes on we'll try to look at alternate ways of updating the game as well as compression. This is the first chapter that took over a month to develop, 33 days to be exact. I assure everyone this won't become a regular thing. I promise, even if I have to give one each of EO's arms and legs. We shouldn't, nor do we need to take that long. 

The list of things that caused delay:

A. My work - Overtime sucks but bills suck even more. One day for sure; I'll be able to rely on game development financially.

B. EO moving houses(This caused a heavy delay in him sending back the files)

C. I messed up the studio application I was using to develop the visuals while making new animations. There was an update but I failed to read that it wasn't fully fleshed out and it had incompatibilities with some files. Took a day to fix. Personal thoughts about this chapter, I might immediately redo a scene here in 17 while making 18; it will be the same; nothing will change story-wise, but I think the execution needs improvement. Honestly, I've been sitting at this public update for 4 hours now, thinking if I should post it already or not.

Also, how the scenes are playing out is branching rapidly due to player choice; I have made an official walkthrough for this game(Check the download sections).

A few more things:

 - There are scenes that have variations ranging from small to big depending on your choices throughout the game, the differences are now viewable in the gallery. I forgot to add a logo to tell which one has them, I'll do that on the next update.

- For the mouse pointer, unfortunately, we could only accommodate the navy blue style and the default for now. It's changeable via the options menu. WIP

- We added a messaging UI/feature to add more flair/better presentation on scenes that includes that way of communication between characters in-game. I'm planning to integrate this into the entire game from chapters 1-16 once I get back to those previous chapters, and it'll be EO's job anyway, book 2 will likely be done within the next update; for book 1, it'll be when it gets re-rendered. Let us know what you think if you do check it out. I've also thought of a way to present phone calls between characters but we'll see that later on, one step at a time but needless to say; we're improving.
