The week we focused on concrete level designs, further implementation of environment mechanics, and constructing a full demo level that demonstrates many of the artistic and development features created so far.
For the game itself, new additions are:
- Full lab demo level including fan wind, Bunsen burner, object pushing, and vent teleporting features implemented last week.
- New 3D models for both decor and interactable use such as plants, vines, wires, debris, and a bunsen burner.
- VFX/Shader effects such as bunsen burner fire, wind effect, and an outline for pushable objects.
- Ability to reset and energy system with UI
Challenges:
- Level design and figuring out how we want to turn our mechanics into an actual game/puzzle. Figuring out what would be too challenging or too easy for someone who has never played the game before.
- Deciding on how we plan to use assets as part of the puzzle/ only as part of the visual design.
