I started Hags Castle back in 2016 as a way to learn more about Unity. I work full time in the UK Games Industry but I wanted to know more about writing code. It was exciting to see the possibilities that code offered an artist, namely the ability to bring worlds to life. I saw that a game might be created from a sequence of steps, and that each step was a path to more understanding. If I could build on what I was learning it may be possible to finish an entire game, and that project became Hags Castle.
Here are some of the early sketches I made when I was thinking about the kinds of creatures that Madam Hag might create to protect herself from gallant heroes.
