Devlog 2
This week we focused on solidifying ideas for overall game theme/tone, environment ideas, puzzle ideas, and mechanics with the entire team.
Mechanics/Features worked on this week were:
- Fan and wind system
- Interactable wires that cause environment changes
- Bunsen Burner forced state switch mechanic
- Pushing around items in solid state form
- Energy system that determines how many times/to which state a player can switch
Challenges:
- Game design and figuring out what we want this game to look and play like.
- Creating mechanics for puzzles without having a complete picture of what those puzzles will look like.
- Physics/Movement mechanics and how we want the player to interact with different pieces in the environment.
