Hello, this is Saitoki

This is a small project released for  Interactive Story  Jam #2 . It's  quite unexpected  and a last-minute  project for me, as I found it out quite late, around  a week before  the Jam ended.

I was lucky I already had this idea flying around in my head for a while, and it combined perfectly  with the format and function  the Spinoff  app offers, so Offline Meeting was created.

There's definitely  some trippy problems in the development  progress. For one, iOS  is not an easy place to manage assets. My PNG artworks must be added one by one from Google drive  because  that is how Apple works. And I struggled  to find a native app that could read my simple  .txt script ( spoiler: Apple note and Google  docs doesn't work). Downloaded ogg doesn't  work with iOS, and getting music file recognized in Apple library  is such a nightmare that I ended  up using a BGM available  in the App ( I'm glad it was there as a choice).

There weren't as many characters  arts in game as I hoped for because  of the time limit, and most of the time was spent  on designing  the interactive  elements  and rendering  special  scenes for the characters. Here is an unfinished  art I didn't  manage to finish  on time to put in the game ( I wanted both Collin and Rai to have their own unique  profile picture)

The week was a crunching  hell with many night of lost sleep, but I'm glad the project went well and turned out almost as I expected.  I finished it 45 minutes  before the Jam which was quite a close call. 

 I will make an update to fix some typos and a few kinks in the game after rating period end.
