We are moving towards the final product in a lot of areas, and its exciting!
We swapped the UI for a set of rooms that unlock as the game progresses. It even has a cozy fire place and a green house to store your collectable plants!
There are new critters. The beetle patrols back and forth and glows in the dark! The worm dangles down until you get close, and slinks back up. These will let me have a bigger variety of types of platforms.
The player movement has been completely re-done to make it more stable and less janky. and to go with that, all the platforms are now on a standard grid. This will help with collisions and eliminate small steps. Also we replaced the circles of light with a shiny crystal!
Although, there is no way to interact with them yet.
We added a title screen overlay. The game never pauses, so we will have seamless transitions between menus, settings, and the game play.
Many of the sound effects were replaced, and we will continue to iterate on them until it sounds all cohesive and informative while maintaining the relaxing atmosphere.

There is still a lot to do for the story, and tutorials. We plan on the settings actually changing things, and for autosaves to work. The UI artwork inside the house will be replaced with items that are more logical to interact with. And there is a running list of bugs to fix.
We are still looking for marketing solutions, and how to let people know we exist, and have at least taken the first steps towards that with a website: Sweet and Power Sauce - Games
