This week we worked on one of the most important to-do task we left pending last devlog, the shooting mechanic. We connected the rhythm system we created last week to the player, so now it can shoot musical notes when the rhythm system is played correctly. This wasn't very hard, as we take advantage of signals in Godot. Then we added sprites for the bullets/notes and we are evaluating the current sprite for the player's instrument.
As we said last devlog, the synchronization between the rhythm mechanic and the music wasn't as accurate as we liked, so now we fixed it and is almost perfect.
We uploaded a new build of the game where you can test this new features!
Thanks for reading this week's devlog. See ya next time with more musical updates!
