1.2 Update
It's almost spooky season again, so... update time, I guess.
This development cycle was a few weeks rather than a few days (yay for planning), so there are a few major additions and improvements.
Changelog:
- Improved main menu background
- Improved stone shader
- Fixed lantern item remaining after being picked up
- Optimized trees
- Improved post processing
- Adjusted range of light source items
- Tweaked timing of cave collapse events
- Various model and texture improvements
- Improved underground soundscape
- Added options for shadow quality, render distance, LOD distance, and anti-aliasing
- Improved sky
- Overhauled the item framework and added a simple inventory system
- New overworld: Much larger, multiple areas of interest, foliage variety, improved landscape modeling
- Mine now needs an axe to enter
- Added a fuel bar for the lantern and lighter
- Added lantern fuel canisters, which can be found scattered around the mine and overworld
- Total darkness slowly causes damage
- Added button sounds
- Fixed a collision bug that caused the player to get stuck when standing on sharp edges
- Added resolution-based font scaling
- Added tutorial notifications
- Braziers can be lit with lantern fuel
- Expanded mine
- Remade title text
