Play Flappy Doom Online

Flappy Doom
A browser game made in HTML5

Hello out there–

I hope everyone is enjoying the close of the summer season. I finally figured out how to upload my old software projects to itch, and this is one of my successful attempts.

This game came about when I asked myself, “How would I mash together Flappy Bird with DooM?” The rest is history.

I found a MIDI version of the iconic theme song online, tracked down some of the original sound effects from the demo, and then over a weekend I came up with something that closely fulfills my original vision.

Of course, I’m late to the party, as usual. Only later had I found out that someone else already created a game with the same name, years earlier. Still, I feel like my personal spin on the idea also adds something worthwhile to the mix. I still fire it up from time to time for some legit arcade action and a good laugh.

Play NOW by following this link: https://let-off-studios.itch.io/flappy-doom

(note: plays best in a browser other than Firefox)

Have fun playing! As noted on the game page, my personal high score is something close to 1,300. If you beat that - or at least come close - please let me know by commenting on the game page.

I have a couple other online games in my archives I hope to release in the coming weeks/months as I have time. So keep an eye open for more online-only releases.

One final note: as mentioned in my creator page, I am a gardening intern in rural Montana, USA. It’s a life that is challenging, exhausting, and fulfilling. If you enjoyed playing Flappy Doom or any of my other games, please contribute whatever you can spare, or share a link with your friends, followers, and all that stuff. I’d appreciate any help and support you can offer.

Thanks for reading, and enjoy your day…!

–Stephen
