Monday Update #87 | Changes and News

MIST
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
MIST v0.11 has released and with it the story for MIST has found it's conclusion. But there is still one more update to go before we'll move on for good. Let's talk about the next few weeks and some changes that the final release of MIST version 1.0 will bring.

Check out MIST on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1988740

The release date:
I've set a release date on Steam for the 30th of September. That's when I'll release MIST 1.0 on Steam, Itch and Patreon at the same time. So for those who are wondering, at the end of this month MIST will be finished once and for all.

Prices:
The game will cost 14,99$ on Itch and Steam. On Patreon, I'll move the game permanently behind the 5€ Tier. I've talked about this in Monday Update #85 already. Make sure to download Version 0.11 until then, if you haven't already. The game is now finished and I think it's fair to start charging money for it.

Differences between 0.11 and 1.0:
The fullversion of the game will have the identical content as 0.11 does, but I'm working on getting as many bugs out as possible and have corrected literally hundreds of spelling errors, I haven't done anything else for a week now. The steam version also adds cloudsaves and steam achievements.

After 1.0:
After the release of 1.0 I'll go on a vacation. Either before that or after, I'll reveal my next project. I'm already working on a trailer, but I can't tell you if I can finish it before I go on vacation or not. It depends on how much work I have to put into the final version of MIST. All I can say is that I'm trying my hardest to get MIST done and let you have a first look at the next project. Changes to the Frontpage: And one last personal change I want to make. Recently Patreon updated the creator page to be more mobile friendly. A change that, by accident, hid the amount of money I make on Patreon from the page. Basically making it so that whenever I opened Patreon to check comments I didn't see the number anymore.

I think transparency is important and so I didn't like that it got more difficult to see my earnings and thats also why you can see them, even though others hide them. I want you to know how much I earn before you pledge. But exactly that is something I  want to change. They have now fixed the frontpage and I can see my money again. And I realized that these past two months I was so much more relaxed about the money and so much more focused on the game. Seeing that number everyday just hurts my mental and I want to turn it off. I'm still gonna leave the patron count that shows the amount of people though. I hope that is fine for everyone. I'm gonna lose some transparency, I know. But it's gonna make me much calmer and I really need that.

And that is all from me. Another roadmap, basically the same as Monday Update#85, but I thought it was important to say it once again in case people missed my previous post.

This Monday Update is a bit too short for what I want to say and what I feel right now after releasing 0.11 but I'm still gonna hold back with the sentimental stuff. Once MIST is fully finished I'll make a big post about the past years and my experience  and I want to properly thank everyone, it'll only have to wait a few more weeks. You'll hear from me soon. Have a nice week everyone!
