ENDLESS BLUE
A downloadable game for Windows

Hello friends,

Well, somehow a full year has passed since the latest version of ENDLESS BLUE was released, so I thought I'd take some time today to give a quick update for anyone still curious about this little prototype. First off, the game has now passed 16k downloads, which seems pretty good for a game jam entry with no real promotion! That's probably in part thanks to the itch.io staff for featuring the game on the front page, as well as coverage on YouTube channels like Alpha Beta Gamer. Furthermore, a big thank you to everyone who has played the game, streamed or recorded their playthroughs, and/or left positive comments here on itch.io or elsewhere.

So, what's next for ENDLESS BLUE?

My current plan is to release a new version of the prototype, featuring some quality-of-life changes, updates to the inventory system, and most importantly - a glimpse into two new areas not featured in the jam version, including my concept for a late-game area featuring a little twist in the visual presentation. Check out the screenshots at the bottom of this post for a sneak-peak!

Beyond that, I can't say anything for certain. I've definitely seen the asks for this to become a full-length release, but I don't want to make the mistake of over-promising only to under-deliver. I hope you'll bear with me, as I'd like to experiment with some other game ideas as well. I'm also starting to build a little bit of a following making liminal space style videos on TikTok - as bizarre as that sentence sounds. In other words, I'm very happy for the enthusiastic response ENDLESS BLUE has received, but I have other projects I'd like to explore as well - so I hope you will consider coming along for the ride.

Stay tuned for more info on the prototype update, and thanks again for your support!
