First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who played and rated my Kenney Jam entry! I did not expect to place in the top 10, and a 5th place of 300 entries was amazing. This was the first game jam I actually completed an entry on time for, and seeing all of the feedback from the community was wonderful. Not just on my game but on everyone's games.
I have to shout out BenjaTK and their game Terraforma for inspiring me to work on a post-jam update to my entry. I tried to address some of my long list of things to improve and incorporate adjustments to make the game a bit more user friendly. Plenty more I'd love to change in the future, but we'll see what I get up to.
First I'd like to highlight the label changes on the plants. When using the wrong tool, the plant label will be faded, and the text will show red.
And plants which will soon perish will now blink their health bars red as they get low.
I also updated the shovel tool UI to show plants ready to harvest as green and plants which need to be dug up as red. Using the shovel on a living plant will also change the text to red to alert you that you're possibly doing the wrong action (though you may need to dig up healthy plants to make room for a different type of plant).
