What to Expect from ChoPro's Story

Hey friends!

I wanted to make a little devlog discussing some of the serious topics I'll be highlighting in ChoPro's writing. For some of you, this post may serve as a content warning because sensitive topics will be touched on.

I want ChoPro to be a vehicle for a lot of social commentary. In particular, I'm planning on making commentary about US culture in general. If you've read the demo, you've likely already seen some of this. Ultimately, my goal is to keep the social commentary direct yet not "in your face". 

For each romantic route, I plan on exploring different issues with each character relationship. Some of these topics will include (but are not limited to):

• Wealth & Poverty
• Self-harm & Suicidality
• Neurodivergence & Mental Illness 
  • Depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, etc.
•  Death & Grief
• Dysfunctional Family Dynamics
• LGBT+ Issues
• US Workplace Culture
  • This was showcased in the demo already. But I certainly have a lot more to say about it.
• Social Media
  • More specifically, how social media can impact one's mental health.
• Stalking & Harassment
• Abuse
  • Physical, emotional, sexual, etc.
• Drugs & Alcohol
  • Centering my story around musicians absolutely warrants this.

I'm probably missing a few, but these are some of the more important issues I plan discussing. That being said, this VN won't be all doom and gloom. I plan on making it quite light-hearted but still touch on some serious issues along the way.

I did want to make a specific devlog  so folks can get an idea of the direction this story will be going in. I know these issues can be really difficult to deal with, so I want to make sure folks who are choosing to invest themselves in my story will be adequately prepared.
