While We all know reading books in school is one of the boring things we had to go through. The HumanBioAR is an android mobile app that allows the student to have an Immersive learning experience.
The HumanBioAR app allows students to learn the main part of the human organs in an interactive method for an educational purpose. This AR application will show you how you can use physical images such as a human body image that triggers image targets where you can point out your finger and triggers visual 3D content, where in this case it will show human organs with their purpose and function.
Research shows most students tend to learn more in a certain subject when they have practical knowledge than a theoretical one. The HumanBioAR application connects the educational factor with the combination of health science and technology.
Most people do not most likely own a VR Headset whereas a high number of people including children have smartphones nowadays. by targeting people who own mobile phones, this application is developed for all android users.
The app superimposes three-dimensional virtual objects on the physical world onscreen live, using the device's camera to create the illusion that these objects actually exist. People can use the HumanBioApp to reorient the device to explore organisms from different angles and interact with them through movement.
Interactions improve understanding of this application learning process while providing the necessary information in the form of input and feedback. The interactions make the overall learning experience more immersive and fun for the user.

An active interaction requires a user to directly interact with the application such as activate buttons, interact with a 3D object to move, change colour, and scale the object.
This application is specifically designed for the android platform. Using the Vuforia engine and a specific image target(human Body diagram) the user is able to interact with virtual buttons that are placed on top of the organs. Once motion is detected those virtual buttons are activated with a function.
Once functions are activated a 3D text is displayed showing the 3D model of the selected organ in the human body diagram.
The models below are two 3D bundle assets downloaded from the unity asset store.
1. OrgansMLX Bundle: 7.99$
2. Body Splatter Parts Bundle: free
The parts shown are not the original organ model. So I download a free bundle and edited the colour of the two organs because it looked…bad.
On the left is the edited version of the Body Part
On the right is the original version of the body part
Pancreas(Body part 03)
The images illustrate a 3D Pancreas model used for the Pancreas organ.
Stomach
The images illustrate a 3D Stomach model used for the stomach organ.
