Hello everyone! I just wanted to pop in and post a quick development log for Quill!
I was in the middle of revisions back when I last updated and am happy to report that revisions are complete. Quill's route has been coded into Ren'py with all the preliminary set up done. I have finished coding all the major sprites into the game along with their expression changes. I still have a few minor characters and extras to draw and code in but those account for a very, very small portion of the sprites.
Overall, the routes average about 6000-6500 sprite expression changes per route. The remaining minor characters and extras probably account for a few dozen of those at most. So yeah, definitely more or less finished with sprite expressions.
I ended up adding several new outfits for Morgan and needed to draw the route-specific side characters (Aritz, Neel, and Vic. Vale and Locke's sprites were already mostly finished). And, as I said, I only have a few very minor characters left to draw or set up.
Though I've made a lot of progress and have a lot of the major work out of the way, there is still quite a lot to be done, too.
So there's still a fair amount of work left - weeks, really. I don't have an ETA on when it will be completed or released. But I'm definitely making progress. The two "big" things left are the CGs and the beta testing.
Beta testing is a long process for these routes. They are very long and have a lot of small elements that have to be tested out. At some point I will probably start working on writing Reuben's route; it's not my focus right now and won't be for a while but I intend to start working on that before Quill's route is released, most likely.
Anyway, that is the update for now. I am continuing to make daily progress.
