Eldritch Gambit version 1.1
Numerous clarifications, grammar fixes, and minor edits.
- P.6: Roll-offs section added to Basics as these are common enough to merit their own paragraph.
- P.7: Helping others added to Basics as this was a common action during playtesting.
- P.16 Hit Points changes the Staggered status to a matter of choice rather than negative HP.
- P.17 Status the Surprised Status now halves AF instead of changing outcomes. Diseased and Poisoned are now separate instead of being bundled under Afflictions.
- P.17 Skills now start at 3 instead of Wis and increase freely via Montages.
- P.18 Encumbrance now has the Encumbered status costing two Moves to cross one Zone.
- P.23 Initiative is clearer about what happens on a new round and passing to foes.
- P.24 Subdual attacks changed to incapacitation instead of fallen status.
- P.24 Ranged attacks Botch is friendly fire, with an explanation of what the eligible targets are.
- P.25 Dodge added after playtesting due to a demand for a more defensive action.
- P.26 Guard changed to a simple interrupt and outcome shift removed.
- P.28 Rally can only be made if they didn’t get Initiative due to being targeted, and may use the CHA of the person who passed it to them.
- P.31 Recovery changed to fit new Stagger and disease rules.
- P.32 Training changed to a method for gaining new Skills.
- P.33 Disease separated from generic afflictions, now just triggers a Recovery Check.
- P.35 Poison separated from generic afflictions, now has a Rolled Buildup.
- P.43 Spells many small changes for consistency, added Edify, Imperil, Insulate, Protect, Sustain, Séance, Grease.
- P.48 Materia no longer need attunement, instead eat WP.
- P.67 Tweaks and Hacks added setting perks and specific wounds.
