Hi!
So, the project has finally moved to UE5, this is the first release using a new engine.
Here are some notes:
- added simple terrain mesh, which covers ~16 km area around the plant (both visible & navigable)
- added some water bodies (partially Pripyat river)
- the vehicle is now uses Chaos physics (controls are not fully tweaked yet)
- the project now uses UE5's Virtual Shadowmaps (so no more those annoying cascading shadows)
- removed baked-lighting version of the main location (switched to real-time only)
