Firstly I modeled a human, I drew a simple little picture of myself to use as a guide whilst modelling in blender.
I could then make this image an object in blender and start modelling.
I added the bones to the mesh and I tried to make it as articulate as possible without it being an inconvenience
After watching the tutorials supplied (tutorials) I made a simple walking animation
A simple idle animation
And for my last one I made my little guy die
This was all done relatively simply just by using key frames, the blender timeline and simply moving the bones around to where I want them. I used the automatic weight feature but that still needed a little tinkering atleast with doing this project. There was a bit of a problem with mesh clipping unfortunately, this I think is mostly due to the sleeves not interacting with the arms inside.
