We're super excited to announce that we've just completed implementation of a new major feature - Currency and Merchants!
We wanted to keep Tobimaru as simple as possible, and avoided implementing currency for a long time. However, while we were creating the demo level we came to a realisation that it's a much needed feature in order to be able to reward the player for their achievements in the game such as finding a hidden area, or beating enemies.
Along with currency, we've implemented merchants from whom Tobi can exchange money with items. You can choose to hang out around a merchant, smash extra enemies for money and buy all the items that the merchant sells, or just buy one thing and move on with your quest.
You'll be able to test out the feature with the next build. Hopefully, we can upload this sometime this week.
