Alpha 7 is out now!
BlacktraceA downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
I'm finally done with Alpha 7 of Blacktrace! This took a while since I had to move over to a new version of Godot Engine. But the result is a much better performing game! I'm especially proud of the new dynamic destruction feature. Now I can add more detail to levels and let you shoot it. Have fun!
If you want to know how to go into first person mode btw, press F4.
Changes:
- Moved game to Godot 3.5.
- Doors can now be kicked open when punching it from close by.
- Added tiled wall and wooden panelling that can be shot and destroyed dynamically.
- Reworked bullet trace system to increase performance.
- Added vignette, overbright and audio effect when the player gets hit.
- Added a revert to default value button to contrast and brightness settings.
- Made the crosshair dot scale slightly based on the distance to the bullet impact position.
- Some new models and textures added.
- Added more pickup animation for targets at different heights.
- Fixed dart launcher and landmine moving around when trying to place.
- Experimented with controller support.
- Made lockpick a bit easier to control.
- Moved to the new navigation system added in Godot 3.5. Allowing for a dynamic navigation mesh.
- A lot more smaller fixed.
