Update - 7/26/22

Rewrites are complete!

The total word count (before code, and not including any other game pages) has increased from ~178k to 224,422 words! An increase of a little less than 47 thousand words!

The game has been recoded from the ground up, and parts of it have been rewritten or rearranged in a way that I’m much happier about. This will definitely break previous saves, so it is highly recommended that you replay the game from the beginning!

Some things that have been added and changed with the rewrite:

• Graphics! I’ve added title cards, as well as graphic titles to the top of the profile, relationship, and codex pages.
• Codex! That’s right, I added a codex! This will contain character profiles for the main cast (except the Speaker, who gets their own page), as well as pages for other important characters and some lore info.
• Options for custom pronouns, or to use multiple pronouns!
• Also a few other customization options, like heterochromatic eyes and some more hair options! I've also split the bold/shy stats into separate categories, so how you react to romantic situations and how you are in general social situations don't have to be the same thing anymore.
• Body type! I was planning to add this in Chapter 4, but I saw the perfect opportunity to add it in Chapter 1, so it’s there now instead. (I’ve tried to include a range of options, but if there’s others you’d like to see, let me know and I can add them!)
• I’ve readded the option to name your own saves! It’s on a toggle now (off by default), to turn it on go into the settings!

And the biggest change: Li can now be non-binary! You can still choose for them to be Liam or Lily, but there will be a third option now as well. Xe prefers to just be called Li, and uses xe/xem pronouns. This is something I’ve been thinking of for a long time, but knew it would involve a lot of recoding to do - and since I was already recoding, it was the perfect time to do it!

So lots of big changes, and a lot more words than before due to the nature of how rewrites always work for me, but no new new content this time. But now that I’ve got this finished, it’s time to dive into Chapter 4! Big, big things coming, my darlings!
