What's New
In terms of what was released this week, it's a combination of bug fixes, polishing tweaks, and wrapping up the Death of the Fitzgerald quest.
Patch Notes
- Change minisub armor to 0.
- Guard against torpedoes with NaN transnforms.
- Fix jetbullets not despawning.
- Added a bunch of tooltips.
- Better handling of minisub force attack button.
- Death of the Fitzgerald quest added to campaign.
- Fix station repair divers causing a crash when their station is disposed.
- Fix z-fighting of terrain at datum cell borders.
- Rework trade mission generation to be more sensible.
- A bunch of code cleanup from test maps.
- Persistent wreck placement and fixes for the Fitzgerald and Tutorial quests.
- Changing sounds to be volumed through audio buses.
- Bugfixes and quest state save/load.
- Fix z-fighting on mapscreen
- Weapon safeties on should set speed to 1, changing speed should engage weapon safeties. (this prevents shooting torpedoes at high time acceleration, which can cause interesting results)
- Fix missing dialogue files.
- If a quest is the active quest, it isn't kept as active after load.
- The Fitzgerald is floating about a hull width above the seafloor
- Cargo slider is filling up backwards on cargo and loadout popups, commodity market.
- Gillian not giving convo option after looting fitzgerald log.
- Constrain torpedo pitching.
- Add economic logger tracking agent missions.
- Adjust position of the Fitzgerald wreck.
- Give longer time for trade missions.
- Handle the end state of the Fitzgerald quest.
What's Next
In addition to fixes and polish I've been working with Parecek from the Bronze Age Community discord on a complete rework of the UI, with a goal of making the UI less intrusive and more immersive. The layout changes are nearing completion, but there's still quite a bit of work left to do on functionality.
