Release Notes for Vana [Version 0.41]
General Changes:
- The Game's ending has been added to the build.
- Section Tree's closing cutscene has been added to the build.
- The Cutscene triggers the credits to roll.
- The Player is redirected to the Main menu after.
- The Cutscene can be skipped. This will also redirect the Player to the Main menu.
- The Level has received another update!
- Section 0 has finished and iterated upon its set-dressing. The intended path is now more clear.
- Section 1 is being set-dressed. It is meant to contrast the vibrant colours of Section 0.
- Section 2 is being set-dressed. Build v0.5 is planned to include the set-dressing for this section.
- Section 3 is has been set-dressed.
- Section Tree is being set-dressed. Build v0.5 is planned to include the set-dressing for this section.
- The "Loss of a Partner" cutscene has been added.
- It can be found at the end of Section 2.
- The Section 2 Boss Battle has been added to the build. it is a bit unbalanced at the moment, however.
- The "Death of the Soul" cutscene has been added.
- It can be found at the end of Section Tree.
- Background Music no longer requires a button press to be enabled.
- It is enabled at the end of Section 0.
- SFX have been added to the cutscenes.
Fixes:
- Fixed the TeleCube SFX never stopping.
- Fixed the TeleCube not being able to be thrown.
- Fixed the artifacts in non-corrupted rock textures.
- Fixed the 3D Cutscene at the end of the game.
- Fixed the obscuration of Section 0's 3D Cutscene.
Known Issues:
- The "Play" button is not focused on the Main menu.
- Some Onboarding triggers are not appearing in the build.
- WASD
- Double Jump
- Glide
- Cube Interaction
- The 1st 3D Cutscene in Section 1 is broken.
- Some SFX are a bit loud.
- Player Death SFX are a bit loud.
- Player Death SFX are played twice on occasion.
- Background Music is a bit loud.
- Wind SFX are a bit loud.
- Enemy Death VFX are a bit excessive.
- The Player is unable to Double Jump out of a Slide.
- The Player is unable to navigate the main menu using the Arrow Keys unless the mouse cursor is hovering over either of the buttons.
- You cannot navigate the Main menu with your arrow keys or controller anymore after going to the Options menu (Main menu ver.) and back.
- Pressing "Tab" in the Options menu highlights buttons on the Main menu, making you able to start the game, open the credits or quit the game from the Options menu.
- There are Text Renders in Section 3.
- In the Pause Menu, under "Resolution", the resolution settings do not save, nor apply.
- In the Pause Menu, under "Audio", the audio settings do not save, nor apply.
- In the Pause Menu, under "Game", multiple actions can be set to the same input.
- The TeleCube can be flung into the level's geometry by standing next to wall and clipping the TeleCube through the wall.
