Version 2.0.0!
Yes I misnamed the release files. No I’m not fixing it, there’s 8 different builds
Anyways version 2 of the Benjine is here! Here’s what’s changed:
- Advanced mod support! That was fast, wasn’t it? See the wiki for more information (when I update it).
- 2D sustain notes are now smooth. I get it, you wanted the notes be connected. I spent like 4 straight hours last night implementing a totally new and good sustain line. You’re welcome.
- GLES2 builds! For people with lower spec PCs. Should hopefully see a performance increase and Story Mode hopefully working. (If not, that’ll be in the next patch lol)
- OpenXR support! Integrated straight into the engine using Baastian Olij and co’s plugin. Compatible with Windows and Linux only.
Changes:
- Mods now require a description pack. See the README and wiki for more information (when I update them).
- Mod descriptions now dictate the name of the package. Makes it easier to differentiate between basic and advanced mods.
- Added the Improved Resource Picker. Now you can search up the custom resources without the crazy long list, courtesy of MakovWait’s plugin!
- Added more credits. For the new plugins. Also I forgot to credit Psych for the alphabet, sorry abt that
- New splash screen. I like it more lmao
Bugfixes:
- 2D sustain notes are now smooth
- Notes no longer disappear when changing between lanes
- Camera now switches to the new performer if the performer it is currently zoomed onto is switched
- Freeplay now retains information about what song you just played
There are def still issues, but those will be addressed in the upcoming patches. Have fun!
