I Forgot these Existed! My Bad, I'll be more consistent with these! Weekly Methinks!
I Plan on being very transparent and very informal in these Devlogs...
While this has not been the most busy week for 52beatup, as I've been mostly putting in effort on another game *ahem ahem Indie Rumble check it out on Twitter ahem* I've still gotten some headway and I'm still aiming for a summer release date. Animations are basically done, I'm reworking Alans Special 2 (Lv.3), and Magnus' Special 2's. I was planning on getting a colourmap done for the cast, but with how much work is piling up I might just put that on hold for the moment (I WILL DEF DO IT THOUGH COLOURMAPS ARE SICK). SFX is on pace, Backgrounds are.. coming along I guess haha. ATM By Biggest hurdle for the demo is Music, as 100% of it is Copyright Free stuff. I'd love to be able to hire a musician but that requires money! and to get money I need to get a game out! the struggle of life!
(Yes the Alan DP is TECHNICALLY older.. but somebody needs to give Vanessa some company!)
I'm doing a slight redesign to the HUD! The Character Faces are Dynamic based on the current state of the battle! As of NOW, there are only 2 states, Idle, and "Hurt". Additionally, I made the Shield Gauge bigger!
You would be correct! The Deck Building System has been in UI Hell for a while, but I'm planning on getting that fixed for the demo. I'll have placeholder art for the cards as well, straight from our lord and savior MS paint. Its a nice touch to have fully detailed art but not a priority, so im going to work fast on that end.
