Talented
A browser game made in HTML5

Hello Talented Gamers!

Long time no speak. Although we've been silent for a couple of months now - we've still been working away at the next update.

I'm pleased to announce that this time we will be working on a top down overhaul of the Talent Tree system.

As you can see, we've made quite a bit of progress already. Introducing the same lighting system we added to our core game into the talent tree and adding new, clearer, connections between the talents.

Our trees are now generated from a system of tiles. We think they give our trees more intricate and organic patterns while also making them much easier to read than the old ones.

There's still a long way to go with this system though! Currently overlapping tiles lead to complete chaos, we'll be introducing a collision system soon to help avoid situations like this. Turns out there's such a thing as too many Talents!

New Talent Style

In addition to making the connection and designing the shape of our tiles, Ryue has been working on a brand new design for our Talents - including new shapes for the Rare and Legendaries.

These awesome new shapes should help the most powerful talents stand out and bring even more variety to our trees.

But what's the green one for you say?

Abilities will now have their very own colour! This should make them stand out against the other Talents. (Since they were very easy to mix up with the blue rare talents in the past)

And that's about it for this update. There's still lots to do before we're ready to put the new talent tree system in your hands but as you can see we've already made a ton of progress.

Looking forward to telling you more about it soon!
