Greetings,
The ManFisher Alpha Update 0.1.7 just went live. You should be able to update your install with the itch.io app; else download the zip file and do a fresh installation.
Some changes/fixes in this build:
- There's more food & drinks to be found with the Bibles,
so that you may last longer in this build.
- You're notified when you have robbed (in the HUD)
- The conversation with the robber's boss has been reduced
due to some issues (still working on that, but for now it's stable)
- The bandits go away if you are, so to keep it clean.
- Reduced jump force (so the player can't win any Olympics gold)
- Not able to jump when crawling (that was on request ;-)
- Some wall parts have been restored after gone missing
- The metrics HUD can be toggled with the keys [alt]+[M]
- The key bind for crouching [left ctrl] is now working
- If there's an issue with the map file the game will not run;
and give a message to restore that (via the itch.io app)
- Some files that aren't used are removed, reducing the space a bit
- Several issues with various dialogues have been fixed
- Portal in Babylon (big red church) is disabled now
(don't think anyone noticed that it was there ;-)
Some known issues that are being worked on:
- vsync won't turn on the first time; as a temp workaround
please open the graphics menu in the game with [alt]+[G]
and set the vsync twice. This may do the trick until fixed.
NOTE: vsync only works in full screen mode!
- vsync wont run properly with G-Sync (NVIDIA)
- the game starts up with a 1024 * 768 resolution and in
windowed mode when opened via the itch.io win app.
Not sure why yet; seems app related.
- Graphics menu says AA is on but isn't really;
please do this manually again while in fullscreen mode.
- The effects on/off option doesn't do anything, yet!
- NPC's aren't animating properly; this is a WIP!
- fps drop to 30 something in the city when playing on 1440p
while 50 something elsewhere. Game optimization is on
ongoing process during the alpha stage; please play
with 1080p for best performance (and turn AA high)
- You start to shake after picking up the bag pack...
This is not a strange illness but a collision issue;
also working on that. Avoid the campsite after picking up.
- The camera mode seems to switch for 1 or 2 frames
when falling or moving down quickly, giving a short flicker.
For this issue do we need a c++ unicorn!
- Some more but the list is already pretty long for the
the first version update :-O
- Tell about issues you have found so we can add them!
