v0.0.4 Released!
Another update, and this one is the biggest so far.
All levels have been updated and given music, more/better SFX added, lots of gameplay/quality of life improvements and more.
- New options menu: adjust the music & sfx volume, and toggle lo-fi audio mode for a bit of a retro feel. (implementing this took far more work than it should've)
- Songs have been added as per the previous blog, although not exactly as it was before
- Visual bugs on level 2A and 4B have been fixed, so these are finally playable :)
- The ball has been tweaked to speed up as you progress through the level, improving the challenge/pacing of the levels
- Players can now attempt to Catch the ball as it hits the paddle, giving you more control and adding strategy (well, not quite, but I'm intending on making catches a limited powerup)
- New background animation on the main menu (not sure if it's too jittery)
- Minor audio tweaks such as a brick destruction sfx, compressor added to avoid 'stacking audio going really loud'
- Minor sprite tweaks
