I'm about to take a break for a short while as I've finished off my University studies and I've been developing this game as part of one module throughout the academic year. However, I wanted to get an update out to integrate new universal controller UI, keyboard+mouse support and the lock-on system re-enabled.
Firstly, the lock-on is a hastily revised implementation of an older system I had setup back in December, it works well enough but it still lacks intelligence and will target enemies through walls and such. Movement is also jarring whilst locked on, however for the most part it functions but it will definitely see more improvement down the line.
The former two changes (keybmouse+UI) were probably the two main bits of feedback I received that seemed vital to change, not everyone wants/has a controller to plug up and the UI prior was very PS-centric despite the lack of DualShock support. So now the UI is universal for controllers whilst Keyboard and Mouse have full access to the controls. The only thing I could not integrate in time was updating the access to the controls screen, of which I left an oversight with a note asking you to press SELECT to open the controls.
