I'm happy to announce that almost 9 months, ~350 commits and ~5000 lines later, SSC Version 0.2 is ready. Main focus for this update is on having a save/load system and technology research. This update also includes new graphics for ships, stars and asteroids. In game background got an upgrade. It's probably not that noticeable at first but it's certainly noticeable when it's not there.
Few words about gameplay. one game takes now about 30 minutes to an hour. With this update player has an option to select between 1 to 3 enemies. At the moment enemy count kind of reflects easy to hard mode which could be counted as accidental feature. At the start of a game, player only has ability to build 2 ships - basic ship for combat and crab for getting resources. Both ships are quite cheap and considering the amount of resources player starts with, there should not be a problem anymore with player getting stuck by not having any resource income. In order to build new ships like haulers or satellites, player has to research things from research tree.
So long story short. Following changelog shows some noticeable new features, fixes or tweaks.
