Sprite Combinator Post-Jam Update! & Basics

The Tool Jam has ended, and Sprite Combinator placed quite well!

5th in "How much I could potentially use it in the future"

and 11th overall!/108

I think this is quite fantastic! This is clearly a tool with a lot of potential use cases and it might have been held back by ease of use a bit.

Following the Jam, I took the feedback to heart and made a bunch of improvements.

• Button tooltips ! now what each button mean and does is explained upon hovering.
• Background color change! Can now change the background to any color.
• Clearer Scale sign: easier to notice you can scale image from borders
• Zoom fix: zooming conflicts with browser zoom and has been fixed.
• Randomize! You can now select a random set of color and images at the press of a button!
• Minor issue fixes

Also, I have had the opportunity to make better media (gifs) to convey how to use the tool and its abilities.

Importing images

You can import multiple images at the same time to create 1 layer and multiple images. You can also drag & drop the images into the tool.

Link Colors & reorder Layers

You can Link the colors of layers for them to always match. Powerful for multi layer hair, or skin color. Also note you can reorder layers by dragging them!

Randomize & View All combinations

Finally this a sprite agnostic tool, It can be used with any image, for any design! and it is very good at creating permutations, perfect for randomly units/NPCs!
