v2.0 update
In tinkering with 24XX, I found that Ventureborn (based on Into the Odd) was trying to do too much with its heavy use of traits and assets and PP. 24XX is very much a freeform-style of gaming. Into the Odd - that was more OSR-ish, not quite as freeform as 24XX, with more structures put in place to guide play. And that is a good thing! Ventureborn shouldn't try to be freeform, as well as OSR, on top of incorporating narrative-altering mechanisms like PP (from Fate Core and Cortex).
So I did a bit of a revamp, reigned all those directions in, and kept the rules focused on what it could do best: OSR-ish exploration-ish play. I'm very happy with the final result, and hope you are too!

Changelog (probably incomplete!) :
- Complete re-layout! I am such a fan of the layout for ItO Remastered, and so all previous versions of Ventureborn used a similar layout, but I think I do prefer a denser 2-column layout. This slightly reduces readability on the first read (my experience, at least), but increases scan-ability (is that a word?) when trying to reference rules.
- "Rolled back" to item slots from earlier versions (v0.9 and earlier). This includes a major moving of sections around
- Removed PP, and instead use the exhausting/recovering traits. This reduces bookkeeping of PP.
- Use of traits are now restricted to a few of the most common uses
- Minor changes to the inspiration table entries
- Added: cast templates, courtesy of Jim Parkin's d66 Classless Kobolds blogpost
- Added: persuasion, inspired by rules from Jeremy Strandberg's Stonetop
- Added: rulings, stolen from Jason Tocci's 24XX
- Moved rules for creating companions to character creation page
Almost everything has been edited and tweaked for clarity, and also so that it fits the new layout better.
