Alpha 4 is out now!
BlacktraceA downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
I'm back with a new alpha of Blacktrace. In this version I focused on the looks of the game by adding a bunch of new models and textures. As you can see this really improved the visibility in all the levels.
Changes :
- Moved to Godot 3.4.4.
- Added movement with WASD on the bulletin board.
- Added a lot of new models and textures.
- Added balaclava to the player character which can be toggled with B.
- Made fading objects use dithering instead of transparency for better performance.
- Removed the throwing rock item.
- New smoke shader for gun smoke and ambient mist.
- Added grass asset that moves in the wind.
- Added a metal stairs asset that can be shot to lower it.
- Grenade can be cooked and throwing knife can be held back before throwing.
- AI now continues shooting the player when they are killed to show dismemberment.
- New intro animation of the player getting out of the car.
- Added a lot more decorative assets to the levels.
- A whole lot of fixes.
