New Game, Tell Me A Bedtime Story Beta 0.6

Tell Me A Bedtime Story (Beta)
A browser game made in HTML5

Hi! I'm Greasy Paint and this is my very first video game. This game has been out for a week now and I'm actually surprised at the positive reaction to it! So I thought I would write out a post to showcase the game as well as explain some ideas for the future.

The game is currently in 0.6 Beta, with my release I am actually looking for some things in specific.

 1. Enjoyed the idea of the game,

I didn't want to keep going on a larger project of a game if the main core of the gameplay was not enjoyable in the first place.

2. The main mechanics worked .

I think this speaks for itself. The more people that play it, the more people that interact, the more likely bugs, if there is any, happen.

3. My environment gave off the right impression

I wanted to make a spooky game. In order to make a spooky game, I need to make a spooky environment.

4. Difficulty scaling

This is tough for me because I programmed the game so I know exactly how to win. My Alpha testers tested several times so they also had an idea after a while how to win. Based on both of our perceptions I adjusted the difficulty to what I feel is the appropriate amount. I want the game to be a bit of a challenge, but not impossible. Something you have to stop and think for, but you can still finish in a 5 minute playthrough.

I have my own schedule of how long I want to wait for public feedback before I continue working on the game,. Based on the feedback I will maybe put out a larger beta, or maybe push everything into a full release. I'm not sure yet. None the less, I have some pretty cool features I have for the full release so I'm really excited to work on it. :3

Please enjoy my game! I had a lot of fun making it! :D
