May 6th weekly progress update! New "Vending Machines".

Here's this weeks update for v0.14:

This week has been quite productive. There were 2 main things implemented this week:

New character images in the bar. The new character Secret, is the bartender at Nammi's. You can buy drinks from him for select characters (currently Pica, Toto, Ruth, and Yoni). Getting them a drink will unlock a flash CG for them. Along with this, I have completed all the dialogue involved with Nammi and the characters in the bar.

Next, I have finished implementing a new "Vending Machine" system. You can buy drinks from the vending machine which will give you buffs for the next song you do. They will expire upon song completion. Here's some examples of what they do:

1.     Yoni's Super Soda - You will no longer roll white modifiers. Only 2-star and over.
2.     Yu & Mei's Curious Tea - You will only roll white modifiers.
3.     Toto Cola - Perfect Threshold is slightly increased.
4.     Pica's Moon Water - Perfect Value is slightly increased.
5.     Ruth's Inferno - Crit Damage is increased, and crit hits are unlocked from the start.
6.     Samga's Nectar - Rep multiplier starts at x2.
7.     Boba's Boba - Misses and Overclicks do less damage.

There are also "Snacks" which will have niche effects outside of the songs.

1.      Cali Grahams - Increases movement speed by 15% for the current zone. It can be stacked up to 10 times, but expires upon leaving the zone you are in.

(No.. there's not much point to this except to go zoom zoom.)

The idea of the Vending Machines was to bring in a form of "spending loop" for reputation. There will be ways to make Vending Machines more accessible, so you won't have to feel like you needa walk all the way to it to get buffs.

That's a quick rundown. Just a heads up, the next progress report might be a little bit late, and might be a little light on progress, as I am having surgery this week. I am going to try and get as much as possible done before the surgery so that I can pick away at the final easy things while I recover, but we'll see how the recovery goes.
