2022 Update 1

It's been a while.

The last time this game was updated was about the week after it first launched after the Wretched Weekend 1 game jam. I'm mostly happy with the game, but there's some things I'd still like to improve, so I'm releasing this update, as the first of a few updates coming to generally improve the game and add content.

This isn't a big update but it features some welcome changes so here's the changelog:

• Player movement got a rework. Not that important but the movement should feel a little better now.
• Main menu has been completely remade. It mostly looks the same, but I've vastly improved how you use the menu by adding mouse support and re-making the options menu to include better controls for controller and mouse, and options for efffects and music(!) volume.
• Added a pause menu. Now you can get to the main menu or quit the game without having to Alt+F4.

Among a few other smaller changes, like improving the general atmosphere a little, and lots of small tweaks here and there.

I mentioned the music volume slider, but there's currently no music in the game. Well that's coming in a future update, we'll have an original theme for the main menu and some ambiance for the game play.
